Role Overview
We are hiring Platform Engineers to join the founding engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to build the infrastructure backbone for AI agents that will operate across millions of transactions in the global logistics ecosystem. The ideal candidate is backend-leaning, experienced in building scalable infrastructure, and thrives in fast-paced startup environments.
This is a hybrid role with working hours aligned to the US Pacific timezone.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain core infrastructure supporting real-time AI agent operations
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and backend systems that grow with user demands
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership on technical architecture and system design
- Integrate with AI/LLM frameworks and manage infrastructure supporting large-scale inference
- Shape foundational engineering practices as one of the earliest platform hires
- Lead and execute end-to-end platform projects focused on scalability, performance, and stability

Tech Stack
- Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Encore
- Frontend: React + TypeScript (Vercel)
- Database: PostgreSQL

Preferred Experience
- Strong backend experience in building scalable infrastructure from 0 to production
- Experience working with enterprise data, APIs, and distributed systems
- Ability to build and manage modern data pipelines
- Comfortable navigating both new and legacy systems
- Familiarity with tools like Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL is a bonus
- Passion for AI-driven systems, logistics, and fast-moving product environments
- Prior experience working with early-stage startups or high-growth product teams
- Comfortable collaborating in person (hybrid, not fully remote)
